Given the current and ongoing concerns in relation to the development of coronavirus (COVID-19) in Australia, Strata Choice would like to advise you of the precautionary measures we are taking to minimise risk to our clients, team members and the community. The health, safety and well being of our clients and team is our highest priority and managing the risk of transmission of the coronavirus is critically important.
Committee meetings and general meetings
As your strata management company, we acknowledge that we depend on regular face to face interaction with clients through meetings. Based on the information provided by the Australian Government Department of Health, and the advice received from Strata Community Association (NSW), we feel it is necessary to cease having face to face meetings. We are currently contacting clients who have meetings scheduled with alternate arrangements such as the holding of meetings via proxy vote, electronically or by tele-conference.
Reducing risk for owners, residents and committee members
When it comes to community living, all owners have a duty of care to make sure their property is a safe environment that doesn’t pose a potential risk to the health and safety of others. If you do become aware of a suspected or confirmed case of coronavirus on your strata property, please immediately advise a committee member and your strata manager.
Contact with our team members and visiting our offices
Over the past week many of our team members have been working remotely from home, over the coming days this number will be significantly increased. All our team members have been provided with technology and devices to be able to continue to service your property whilst working remotely, to ensure we minimise any possible disruption to our services.
Effective immediately, our offices will be closed to visitors, we will however be available on an appointment only basis to allow for contractors and clients to collect keys. Social distancing will be exercised during these times. Strata inspections that support the property sales process will proceed via our online portal to ensure there is no interruption or delays of this process.
For the latest information about coronavirus in Australia, visit the Australian Government’s Department of Health website https://www.health.gov.au/ or contact the coronavirus health information line: 1800 020 080.
We encourage our customers and communities to remain calm, if we work together to follow protocols within our community living environments, we can help to reduce the risks associated to coronavirus.
